Statement from the deBlock Secretariat Regarding the Postponement of deBlock 2025 Conference

In the Name of God

Postponement of the deBlock International Scientific Conference

Dear deBlock Community,
Greetings and respect,

We regret to inform all participants of the deBlock 2025 International Conference in Tehran that the event has been postponed until the current exceptional circumstances subside.

As the first international scientific conference of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of blockchain and digital assets, deBlock has been in development for over 15 months through the collaborative efforts of its co-founding team, the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology, the Iranian ICT Guild Organization, Allameh Tabataba’i University, and Ramdaraayiha Monthly and Blockchain Research Journal, under the theme “The Future of BRICS with Blockchain.”

deBlock stands as a turning point in the history of Iran’s fintech landscape, a unique moment in which dozens of government bodies, private companies, international associations, universities, and hundreds of participants including researchers, scientific reviewers, panelists, speakers, diplomats, parliamentarians, government officials, entrepreneurs, and organizing teams from over 21 countries came together. Their goal: to confront the challenges and explore the opportunities of today and tomorrow’s financial world, to think, to propose solutions, and to shape history guided by collective wisdom.

The event was planned to host a distinguished array of high-level guests from Iran, including the Honorable Speaker of the Parliament, several ministers, members of parliament, ambassadors, resident diplomats in Tehran, and around 70 international guests. Among the special guests was Martyr Dr. Fereydoon Abbasi, a nuclear scientist and member of parliament, who was tragically martyred just two days before the event in a brutal attack by the Zionist regime.

Naturally, under the current national and international circumstances, the conference cannot be held as originally scheduled. Following extensive consultation, scenario analysis, and official guidance from relevant authorities, as well as engagement with stakeholders, sponsors, and our four organizing institutions, the deBlock team has decided to postpone the event in accordance with emergency protocols. A new date will be announced once the situation stabilizes.

Now, more than ever, is a time for unity and solidarity. We extend our heartfelt condolences for the loss of our commanders, scientists, and innocent citizens in the recent attacks, and we pray for the decisive victory of the great Iranian nation and its proud armed forces.

With hope and resilience,
deBlock Secretariat
