deBlock 2026 – Article Submission Guidelines

deBlock 2026, The 2nd International Scientific Conference

These guidelines are mandatory for all authors intending to submit a paper to the second edition of deBlock International Scientific Conference. Failure to comply with any of the following requirements will result in the paper being excluded from the review process.

A — Submission Requirements

1. Language of the Paper

Papers must be written in English and formatted in accordance with the ISC format. Review will be based on the English version; however, authors may also submit a Persian version of the paper in addition to the English one.

2. Number of Papers

Each author is permitted to submit only one paper as an independent submission. If an individual submits more than one paper as the first author, only the first paper received will be reviewed, and subsequent papers will be rejected without notice. However, each individual may participate in a maximum of two papers; that is, their combined participation as first author and as co-author in other papers must not exceed two papers in total.

3. Paper Track

Papers must fall within the scope of one of the event’s main tracks. The suggested topics listed under each track are for guidance only, and authors may pursue other related topics within the same track. Submissions outside the designated tracks are not permitted.
Authors are required to select the correct track (category) corresponding to their paper’s subject matter at the time of submission on the website. An incorrect track selection may disrupt the review and evaluation process.

4. Submission Deadline

Final submission deadline: November 21, 2026
This deadline will not be extended under any circumstances. Authors are responsible for allowing sufficient time for preparation, final editing, and submission of their paper.

5. Submission Method

The full paper and the abstract must be uploaded separately to the paper submission system. The system has a dedicated section for abstract text. Papers for which both parts have not been fully uploaded will not enter the review process.

B — Formatting Requirements

1. Paper Length

Maximum of 25 pages, including main text, tables, figures, and references. Appendices are exempt from this limit but must not exceed 10 pages. Papers exceeding these limits will not enter the review process.

2. Formatting

  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12
  • Line spacing: 1.5 or double-spaced
  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides
  • Layout: single-column
  • Page numbering: mandatory

3. Plagiarism

All papers are checked for textual similarity prior to entering the review process. Papers with a similarity rate exceeding 15% will not enter the review process. Authors are responsible for checking their paper for this prior to submission.

C — Paper Structure

1. Paper Type

Authors must specify the type of paper at the beginning of the work. Accepted types are as follows:

  • Research Paper
  • Review Paper
  • Position Paper
  • Case Study
  • Technical Paper

The paper type affects the evaluation criteria, and the review committee evaluates each type according to its own specific criteria.

2. Title

The title should be short, clear, and reflective of the paper’s main subject. Unnecessary use of capital letters and numbering in the title should be avoided.

3. Author Names

The full names of all authors must be included, along with their institutional affiliation (name of institute, university, or organization), email address, and the phone number of the corresponding author.

4. Abstract

The abstract must be a single, unified paragraph of no more than 300 words and must cover four main components: background and motivation of the research, research objective, methodology used, and main findings.

5. Introduction

Must include a statement of the problem, a brief review of the background, and the research questions or hypotheses, stated clearly and in an evaluable form.

6. Literature Review

A review of prior related research, identifying trends and existing gaps in the field of study.

7. Methodology

An explanation of the research methods, including research design, data collection procedures, and analytical methods.

8. Findings

Results should be presented in an organized manner. The use of tables, charts, and visual figures is permitted where necessary.

9. Discussion

Interpretation and analysis of the results in relation to the research questions and existing literature, including implications, contributions, and limitations of the research.

10. Conclusion

A summary of key points, suggestions for future research, and practical applications of the findings.

11. Author Contributions

In papers with more than one author, each author’s role must be briefly specified.
Example:

  • First Author: Study Design and Initial Drafting
  • Second Author: Data Collection & Analysis
  • Third Author: Final Review & Editing

12. Conflict of Interest

Any financial, professional, or personal conflict of interest must be explicitly disclosed. In the absence of any conflict, the following statement should be included:
“The authors declare that there is no conflict of interest related to this research.”

13. Ethical Considerations

In research involving human participants, sensitive data, or artificial intelligence tools, the manner in which ethical considerations were addressed must be clearly stated. For requirements regarding the use of artificial intelligence, please refer to the deBlock 2026 AI Usage Policy.

14. References

The reference list must follow the standard ISC format. All sources must be properly cited (APA or MLA). Citing outputs from artificial intelligence tools as a source is not permitted.
